Friends offer scrapbooking course at library
Refreshments and all materials needed are included in the price but bring your own photos
THE scrapping group of The Friends of Kempton Park Libraries invites all newcomers to this lovely hobby to join their marathon scrapbooking workshop.
The workshop is scheduled for March 4 in the auditorium of Birchleigh North Library on Mooifontein Road.
You can enrol for only one of the three sessions, or for all three for only R180.
A short introduction will be given from 9am to 10am, addressing the following: What is scrapping? What do I need? How and where do I start? What could I do with all those photos I collected? There will be no boring theory – only practical hints and examples of the finished product.
The cost is R20.
From 10.30am to 12.30pm scrapping for beginners will be covered. Do your first album page with eight photos.
Bring at least eight jumbo size photos, all in landscape format, as well as scissors, a ruler and pencil. All other materials like card stock are included in the price.
The cost is R70.
Advanced scrapping will be hosted from 1pm to 5pm. Make a little album, bring lots of photos – including lots of photos which go with one topic. Also bring scissors, a ruler, cold glue and a pencil. All other materials like card stock and embellishments are included in the price.
The cost is R110.
Refreshments and all materials needed are included in the price, but you must bring your own photos.
Members of the Friends qualify for another discount.
Those interested can enrol at the counter of Birchleigh North Library. This is necessary for the organisers to procure the right amount of materials.
