Pedestrian killed on Great North Road
The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was assessed and found to have escaped injury
A man, believed to be in his 30s, was killed last night when he was hit by a car on Great North Road in Kempton Park.
Russel Meiring, spokesman for ER24, said paramedics arrived at the scene at about 10pm.
The body of the man was found lying on the pavement while the car had come to a stop on the side of the road. Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.
“Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the man and he was declared dead on the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a woman, was assessed and found to have escaped injury,” he said.
