Child Welfare to host car wash on Saturday
Get your car washed and help child welfare raise much-needed funds
HELP Child Welfare Kempton Park raise much-needed funds by getting your car washed on Saturday.
The organisation is trying to raise funds for its strategic planning workshop they are planning to have soon.
“The main objective of the workshop is to review the current service delivery operation and stakeholder engagement in terms of alignment with the mission, vision and the constitution of the organisation,” explained Alice Tandi, senior social worker at the society.
The workshop is planned to span over two days, which will include staff debriefing and team building.
“A venue to this effect has been identified and will cost R25 000, inclusive of accommodation, food, team building activities and facilitation.”
Modern Classic Car Wash in Birch Acres, owned by Emmanuel Manu, has opened its doors to child welfare so they can host the initiative there. This is his way of contributing to the project.
The community is encouraged to show support and bring their cars through to Alex Shopping Centre, 1 Namakwaduif Street, Birch Acres. The project will be from 9am-1pm.
Child welfare employees will wash the cars themselves.
Other financial donations are also welcome. Call the director, Makha Thusi, on 011-970-1814 or 071-926-0271.
