Local debt counsellor pens book about financial freedom

The book further sheds light on how successful business people build their businesses using other people's money and resources

A Birchleigh North debt counsellor has published a book with a very interesting title: How to get out of bad Debts, Use other People’s Money and Resources to get Rich.

Says author and managing director of The Big R Solutions Saubrey Tshabala: “In a quest to understand finances, one subject I took a keen interest in was debt.

This was because of a number of reasons, Saubrey explains, such as debt being considered a new currency (having been the victim of loan sharks himself) and people committing suicide as a result of bad debts.

He registered as a debt counsellor in 2008 and is still practicing.

“My book is aimed at teaching people the ethical ways to pursue financial freedom. It talks about hard work as one of the key principles that leads to success, as demonstrated by a number of great people, such as my heroes, the late Steve Jobs, the late former president of South Africa, Dr Rolihlahla Mandela, Robert Kiyosaki, M Kaizer Motaung and many others.

“As much as people need assistance, assistance cannot substitute hard work which needs to continue to guide people to free themselves from poverty,” Saubrey said.

The book explains debt and other important financial concepts, such as interest rates, inflation and deflation, in layman’s terms.

“One important aspect of interest rates is the credit market industry. If people can be empowered on that front, half of the job would be done, he says.

The book further helps readers to understand that whenever they apply for debt it is a requirement that an affordability assessment has to be conducted, as per National Credit Regulator regulations.

It also outlines the effects of bad debt and the role of the Credit Bureau in the credit industry, as well as addresses methods of getting out of bad debt.

Many strategies are provided in the book with the emphasis on debt counselling.

The book further sheds light on how successful business people build their businesses using other people’s money and resources.

“This book was produced without me spending a cent from my company. And this is not the first book which was produced without spending a cent,” Saubrey added.

“In our company we work hard, not for money but for assets which will later produce cash flow.

“The book outlines how prominent business people use other people’s money and resources to get rich by reviving relationships beneficial to all.”
