Generous donations given to children’s home

Numerous businesses joined forces to bombard children, at John Wesley Children's Home, with gifts.

NUMEROUS companies joined forces to honour Nelson Mandela by donating to the John Wesley Children’s Home, in Kempton Park.

An official handover event was hosted on July 6, before the girls left the home for school holidays. The girls prepared dances and speeches of gratitude for all the companies involved.

All the donations came from individuals and companies that were eager to join hands with CIGFARO to make a difference.

Members of CIGFARO thanked KIA motors, Premier Hotel OR Tambo, Protea Hotel OR Tambo, Tsogo Sun Hotel, Ekurhuleni News, True Love Magazine, Bake n Take, Triple Trend and NetVendor Utilities for extending a helping hand.

The girls impressed the crowd with their ambitions to achieve the careers they love.

Lilian Le Roux who manages the home said, “Words cannot fully express our gratitude. From the bottom of our hearts we want to say thank you to all the individuals and companies that were involved. This means the world has hope and we certainly hope they do the same for others.”

CIGFARO Abbey Tlalets said she was hopeful that this was the start of a long relationship between the companies and the individuals who had joined hands to give whatever they could.
