A rape charge may be added later following a post mortem which will reveal the cause of her death, as police suspect she may have been sexually molested.
According to Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, the grisly discovery was made by a municipal worker who was cleaning around the area where the woman’s body was dumped. The body was covered with boxes.
“The worker alerted police, who upon arrival, found the body of a female in her 20s with only her underwear (panties) on,” Mtshali explained.
Police need help identifying her.
“We appeal to anyone who may be able to help with the identification of the body and information about the circumstances leading to her death and possible suspects to step forward. We believe the woman may have been killed elsewhere as the body was in a partially decomposed state.”
