Annual youth conference hosted in Phomolong
Young people got the opportunity to engage with Emmanuel Sir Bonoko who is on Forbes Africa magazine's '30 under 30' list
The 21st Century Glorious Youth Movement hosted its Annual Youth Conference in Phomolong this past Saturday.
Spokesperson for 21st Century Glorious Youth Movement Phuti Moyaha said the youth movement comprises young people from different churches, individuals from various organisations as well as the young people from townships around Johannesburg.

“This year marks the first year of the re-invented and re-branded 21st Century Glorious Youth Movement. Over the past six years, the movement has endeavoured to provide a platform for young people to gain access to information and content that is beneficial to their development. Activities such as the Annual Youth Conference, affords young people an opportunity to engage with Individuals and organisations that they would not ordinarily have access to,” said Moyaha.
He said at the past weekend’s conference, young people got an opportunity to engage with Emmanuel Sir Bonoko who is on Forbes Africa magazine’s ’30 under 30′ list.
“This is a list of 30 young people under the age of 30, who are deemed to be the future billionaires on the continent.

In addition, we had Witness Mdaka of Quality Growth International, as well as other influential people, share some pearls of wisdom.”
Phuti said young people in townships were given an opportunity to showcase their gifts and talents while being motivated and empowered by different speakers and preachers of God’s word.
“The youth of today is faced with several challenges such as unemployment and lack of finance for studies, among others. At times, young people are unable to address these challenges because they are waiting for someone to solve these challenges on their behalf.
“For the status quo to change, young people need to be given tools to ensure that they are equipped to deal with their challenges. The 21st Century Glorious Youth Movement serves this purpose,” said the co-founder and organiser of the 21st Century Glorious Youth Movement.

“The theme for this year’s Annual Youth Conference, which is the overall theme for 2017, is: ‘Rise, Unite and Build’. The conference offered various activities including a panel discussion on youth in the marketplace as well as an empowerment session consisting of an motivational talk and the preaching of the word of God. Since the event was youth-based, there was music throughout the event.”
Young people who wish to be a part of the movement or who want to keep up with the upcoming events, should visit the movement’s website: www.21cgym.co.za. Alternatively, they can follow the movement on social media i.e. Facebook and Twitter.
