A tornado has hit Phumulani Mall in Tembisa about half an hour ago.

According to someone at the scene, the tornado swept through the area causing huge damage.

According to the man, there has been huge damage caused to the shopping centre, including people’s cars parked in the parking lot.

ER24 is on route to the scene to attend to possible injuries.

According to information received, the tornado is headed towards Springs.
