Truck slams into cars at Vlei Street intersection on Pretoria Road

Four people were injured this afternoon when a truck rear-ended a light motor vehicle, pushing it into three other cars, at the Pretoria Road and Vlei Street intersection.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found all four vehicles in the middle of the intersection. Traffic had already begun to back up due to the collision, Russel Meiring of ER24 said.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found four had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported.

The patients were treated for their injuries and were transported to hospital.
