Murderer gets 33 years behind bars for killing business owner

He was arrested in Kempton Park with an unlicensed firearm

Siphesihle Sithathi (30) was found guilty by the Johannesburg High Court and was sentenced to 33 years in jail on July 27 for murder, possession of an unlicensed firearm and house robbery.

Tembisa South SAPS Communication Officer Captain Neldah Sekgobela said on March 24, 2015 – Tembisa South Police were summoned to a scene where Bhudi Louis Malopewho, who owned a Chesa Nyama in Ivory Park, was fatally shot by an unknown suspect when Bhudi Louis Malopewho arrived at the gate of his yard at Vusimusi Section, in the early hours of the morning.

“On the same day, the suspect was arrested for possession with an unlicensed firearm in Kempton Park which was linked to the murder case in Tembisa South. It was also established that the firearm was taken during a house robbery in Kaalfontein near Ivory Park,” said Sekgobela.

“The investigating officer of the case in Tembisa South is now breathing a sigh of relief because the accused faced the full might of the law”.
