Do not forget the kids festival at Dries Niemandt Park tomorrow
The festivities will also include a variety of flea-market stalls and car exhibitions
ON Saturday, from 9am to 3pm, MES Kempton Park will host its fun-filled family event at Dries Niemandt Park.
The day marks the organisation’s sixth annual kids festival and all funds raised will support the growth of the organisation’s various social relief, education and job rehabilitation programmes in the inner city.
The festivities will include a variety of flea-market stalls and car exhibitions by Toyota, Ford, Gena Motors and the Suzuki bike shop.
There will be good food to enjoy, including curry and rice, pancakes, pap and sishebo, boerewors and bacon rolls.

The various fun rides for the kids include a water slide (remember swim wear and towels), a parachute rocket, train and horse rides, go-karts and many more interesting surprises.
Tickets for the rides will sell for R30. Alternatively, a wristband can be purchased for R100, which will give children unlimited access to all the rides. Entrance to the venue will be covered by the parking fee of R10.
The event will feature entertainment by IV4, Navi Redd, KingD, New Roots and the Joshuas.
Winners of the baby and toddler singing competition, as well as the debit order promotion, will also be announced.
Residents can still take part in this promotion until Saturday. MES Kempton Park encourages everyone to support their initiative with a monthly debit order of R100 for 12 months. Anyone entering before or on August 26 stands the chance of winning a complimentary weekend accommodation voucher from Premier Hotel. The value is R5 000 and includes dinner and breakfast.
What does your payment of R100 a month cover at MES? It could be one of the following:
– Accommodation for one client for six nights
– 20 meals for one client
– Opportunity for two clients to be part of a GROW team for a day
– After-school programme: accommodating one child a month (includes teacher and a meal every day)
MES hopes to see everyone from the community at the not-to-be-missed, family outdoor event.
