Festival Mall is upgrading its security

Festival Mall kindly asks patrons to bear with them while they create a safer shopping environment

FESTIVAL Mall is currently upgrading security measures at the centre.

Lee-Anne Leathley, marketing manager at the centre, said, “Festival Mall apologises for the inconvenience caused by current civil works at entrance and exit parking booms, affecting the free flow of traffic.

“Security infrastructure and measures are presently being upgraded, which includes additional security equipment comprising the installation of spikes at all parking boom entrances and exits of the mall.”

“The safety of our shoppers is of utmost importance to us. Thus, we feel that the addition of the spikes will serve as an extra precautionary measure against armed robberies and getaway vehicles,’ said Daphne Smith, general manager of the mall.

‘’Management of Festival Mall is aware of the escalating crime rate and is doing as much as possible to prevent this from happening,” continued Smith.

Installation of the spikes is anticipated to be completed by November, in time for the festive season trade.
