Croydon residents invited to crime meeting

SEBENZA Sector 2 CPF, which includes Croydon, Kelvin Estate and Spartan, will meet on September 7 to prepare for the upcoming sub-forum elections..

The meeting will take place at 6.30pm for 7pm at Croydon Baptist Church on Smith Street.

This was decided at an executive meeting at Sebenza SAPS where the sector manager, Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso, was mandated to put an interim structure in place.

“We need a permanent structure which includes the community going forward,” said executive chairman Andrew Mosesi.

“I appeal to the community to come in their numbers so we can proactively educate you on the process to be followed, who qualifies to be voted in and who can vote.

“Sebenza SAPS will also be available to discuss the latest crime trends and respond to questions. Information on patrollers, reporting lines, duties and responsibilities will be shared.”
