Pageant brings smiles to the faces of pre-schoolers

The pageant was organised in order to boost the morale of the children and to root out the inferiority complex in some of them

NATCHIE Pre-school recently held its beauty pageant at McDonald’s Kempton Park.

The pageant was organised in order to boost the morale of the children and to root out the inferiority complex in some of them, as most come from less fortunate backgrounds.

The pageant went very well and the learners outdid themselves and walked the stage with confidence.

Ntokozo Mntungwa was named Miss Natchie and Mael Watungwa walked away with the Mr Natchie title.

First princess was Aliya Mabhechu, while first prince was Alex Pretorius. Christina Batai was named second princess and Nkosiphile Mazibisa was named second prince.

The learners won educational toys sponsored by MacDonald’s. Other learners also won in categories such as Mr and Miss Smiley Teeth and Mr and Miss Personality.

“Indeed, the pageant brought smiles on the little ones’ faces and they have been inspired. They are still talking about it and are always modelling whenever they are walking around in school.

“A big thank you from Natchie Pre-school staff and management, parents and the children to EXPRESS for publishing an article about the pageant; it was a real success,” principal,Audrey Vushendibaba said.
