CPF urges community to join the fight against crime
Tembisa SAPS introduces new CPF office bearers.
Tembisa SAPS wants to introduce the new structure of Tembisa Police Station’s Community Policing Forum (CPF).
Capt Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the office bearers were elected on June 9 but were never officially introduced to the public.
“The chairperson appeals to members of the community to work with the CPF in the fight against crime,” said Ralidzhivha.
“Our biggest enemy is crime. If we join hands we will defeat the enemy. We as members of the community are stronger in numbers than the criminals. Let us root them out from among us.
“Let us work towards a crime-free Tembisa. We can achieve that goal by working with our men in blue. The police alone will never win the war but together we can,” said Albert Thema, CPF chairperson of Tembisa Police Station.
The secretary and other members run the office from 8am.
The community is encouraged to attend the meetings in their sectors. If community members have any problem that needs their attention, they have sub-structures to address it directly.
“The sector commanders will be at sector crime forums to give more details on how the sector is working. Remember all of us are the eyes and ears of the police. Let us make fighting crime a priority,” said Thema.
The CPF chairperson further encouraged those who are deployed at schools to be at their schools daily.
“We also appeal to members of the community who want to be part of our patrollers to come forward and join. Together we can make a difference,” said Thema.
