Drugs, R70 000 cash found in Endulwini Section during SAPS operation

A teenager led the police to the address where the bust was made

A big amount of drugs and R70 000 in cash were confiscated by Tembisa South SAPS in Endulwini Section during an operation on Friday morning.

An illegal firearm and 67 live rounds of ammunition were seized and three men arrested.

Sgt Sharon Tsotsotso, spokesperson for Sebenza SAPS, said the operation was led by the station commande of Tembisa South Police Station, Col Boloka.

The operation started on Friday at 2am. While conducting a search at Enhlanzeni Hostel officers arrested a 19-year-old suspect who was found in possession of the firearm and ammunition.

The youngster alleged the firearm belonged to a friend in Endulwini Section. Arriving at the address, police found two men,both in their twenties, with nyaope, dagga, and about R70 000 cash, Tsotsotso said.

Boloka thanked all members who participated in the operation and urged the community to report all illegal activities to the police.
