Husband finds wife shot dead in their Birch Acres home

A Birch Acres husband found his wife (52) shot dead in the bathroom of their Paradysvink Street home on Friday night.

She had a single bullet wound to her upper body and was declared dead on the scene.

According to Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, a case of murder is being investigated.

He said her husband told police he arrived home at 6.30pm and found the kitchen and security doors open.

He called for his wife but there was no answer. He found her in the bathroom in a pool of blood. Paramedics and police were called to the scene.

Molokomme said one spent cartridge was found on the scene.

“At this stage nothing had been reported missing and the motive for the killing is unknown. No arrests have been made,” he said.
