Police arrested two Range Rover hijackers at Umnonjaneng Section on October 7.
Tembisa South SAPS Captain Neldah Sekgobela said Ekurhuleni North Cluster Police were performing their normal operations around the area on Saturday morning when they received a complaint about a black Range Rover which was hijacked in Tembisa.
“The car was seen parked on the street at Umnonjaneng Section, Tembisa. Police proceeded to the address and when they approached the Range Rover, the suspects tried to flee the scene by driving off.
Police gave chase and a warning shot was fired in order to stop the driver, but he did not stop. SAPS members continued to follow the car until it stopped in one of the streets at Umnonjaneng Section where two male suspects aged 28 were arrested,” Captain Sekgobela.
Captain Sekgobela said the two are expected to appear today in the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court to face charges for possession of presumed stolen motor vehicle.
