Tembisa women are celebrated for hard work.
Woman excellence needs to be celebrated in Tembisa to inspire young girls to achieve in their career path and let their talents shine.
Mashudu Luthada felt there’s a need to expose and celebrate Tembisa women who are accomplishing big in different faculties.
Luthada started a Facebook platform that features inspiring women who are making positive strides to attain success in their respective industries.
The 22 years old public relations practitioner said she started “Her Majesty” page to provide a platform that gives females an opportunity to engage, embrace, empower and network with one another and share their stories.
“No story is petty, stupid or unworthy of being shared. Everyone is worth telling their stories, be it via photography or videography where it gets shared on our social media platforms being Instagram and Facebook.
“The mission is to bring women together and be the voice of the voiceless in helping one another to reach certain goals,” said Luthada.
She said the way Her Majesty started was not planned.
“It was on a Wednesday where I decided to post all females profiles on my WhatsApp under the trend name #WCW (Women Crush Wednesday) and I asked every female on my WhatsApp to send me a picture of themselves and a short biography.
“It went so well that the next day I decided to start the Her Majesty platform to give them an opportunity to share anything they want to share with other females.
“A platform where women can be empowered and have access to “business to business” and open “business to consumer” opportunities,” said Luthada.
“My future hopes for this platform are to grow into a high tea/networking mixer where women exchange contacts and help one another grow in whatever industry they are in.
“I want Her Majesty to initiate expos that explore opportunities which support growth and help women to align their lives to their goals.”
Her Majesty needs to develop campaigns that empower women and that can be used as national benchmarks for issues associated with womanhood.
