After seven years his family still hopes to find him

It has been seven years since Guan Johannes Petrus Odendaal was reported missing and his sister, Biancè Scheun, is still searching for him.

“He was last seen leaving my grandmother’s house in Rhodesfield,” said Scheun.

“When he left, he just said he needed to see people and that was the last we saw of him.

“Odendaal was 18 years old when he went missing and is 26 this year.”

Scheun said although she can’t remember what he was wearing when he disappeared, he has certain features that people can use to identify him.

“At the time of his disappearance he was 1.6m or 1.7m tall, average in weight, green eyes with ash blonde short hair,” said Scheun.

“He has an L-shaped scar between his right eye and the nose and his left ear is chipped.

“I don’t know about now, but at the time, he didn’t have piercings or tattoos.”

Scheun also told EXPRESS that people have called and sent her photos of people they suspect to be her brother, but there is still no sign of him.

“We appeal to people to help us find my brother. Please contact us if you have information that could assist locate him.

“We would really appreciate the community’s assistance.”
