Bringing quality services to the people – Roots Butchery

Roots Butchery has been committed to providing better services and ploughing back to the community of Tembisa and the surrounding areas since its inception five years ago at Birch Acres Mall.

Aligned with its purpose of caring and bringing quality services to the people, Roots Butchery has expanded and currently owns three branches in and around the Tembisa Township.

The first two branches are based in Megamart Shopping Centre and Birch Acres Mall, and another branch opened recently at Kaalfontein Extension.

According to the store manager of Birch Acres Roots Butchery branch, Johnny Bala, the store has 80 branches nationwide.

“We are a community-based butchery to support and supply our clients with the best products at best possible prices. Our stores cater for disadvantaged communities and are mostly based in the townships. Our primary objective is to render quality services to the people and plough back where it’s necessary. My team and I are incredibly enthusiastic to have launched a new branch in Kaalfontein and we are looking forward to working closely with the community,” said Bala.

Bala added he is currently working closely with several children’s homes and soccer tournament organisers in the area and sponsors them with drinks and food, among other items.

“We also need the support of the community to be able to create more stores and employment from the community. It is through the community that we managed to create three stores in the Tembisa Township,” added Bala.

He emphasised that if customers are not happy with their services or have complaints concerning anything from the shop, they should feel free to approach store managers to resolve the complaint.

“We are not perfect and we are dealing with a number of staff members. So, if there are complaints, bring them forward. Roots Butchery is about the people, not only business benefits,” said Bala.
