Brother finds sister hanged in Temong Section

An inquest docket was registered at the Tembisa SAPS.

The brother of a 16-year-old girl from Temong Section found her dead at about 6.40pm on October 21.

She was found hanging behind the outside rooms.

According to Tembisa SAPS communications officer Constable Patricia Mgijima, the circumstances surrounding the death are unknown. Police are investigating the cause of death.

An inquest docket was registered at the Tembisa SAPS.

“Parents and guardians of children are urged to sit down with children, be supportive and reassuring, especially during this final examination period, and should not be hard on them. Parents really need to have conversations, such as ‘how was your day’, ‘how are you doing’, ‘don’t worry, everything is going to be OK, just do your best and everything will work out’,” said Mgijima.
