Wheelie bin roll-out in ward 104 from November 13-25

Door-to-door distribution requests will only be accommodated during the said period

THE roll-out of wheelie bins in Ward 104 will take place from November 13-25.

The ward includes Esther Park, Edleen, Terenure, Kempton Park West part of Birch Acres and part of Van Riebeeck Park.

Ward councillor Tracey Lourenco said distribution would take place from 11am to 6pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.

“Door-to-door distribution requests will only be accommodated during the said period and only for those pensioners who cannot collect the bin for some reason,” Lourenco added.

All pensioners who reside next to the distribution spots are advised to collect their wheelie bins from such spots. Pensioners are also advised to send a family member to collect the bin on their behalf from the identified distribution spots.

The roll-out points are:

Birch Acres open space on corner Kwartel Street and Bergrivier Drive on November 13-15.

Birch Acres park bordering Maraboe and Flamink streets on November 13-15.

Edleen park bordering Ilex and Adonis streets on November 16-18.

Edleen open space on Besembos Street on November 16-18.

Terenure agricultural holdings and enclosed section of Van Riebeeck Park open space on De Wiekus Street next to Jeugland on November 20-21.

Kempton Park West/Terenure in the park corner of Handel and Opstal streets on November 22-23.

Kempton Park West (China Gate Side) park corner of Parkroete and Skoolroete streets on November 22-23.

Esther Park Proper open space next to the café on Parkland Drive on November 24-25

Esther Park, park on Luckybean Street on November 24-25.
