Pedestrian killed on Pomona Road
The driver of the vehicle was assessed and found to have escaped injury.
A man, believed to be in his 40s, was killed on Monday afternoon when he was knocked over by a car at the intersection of Pomona and Highveld roads.
Russel Meiring of ER24 said paramedics arrived on the scene to find the body of a man lying in the middle of the road.
The light motor vehicle that had apparently hit the man was found parked a short distance away.
Paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several serious injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
