A paupers burial will follow should the body of the man not be identified soon
Kempton Park SAPS detectives appeal to the community to help identify the body of a man who was knocked over and killed by a car on Albatross Street on October 19.
“There was nothing found in the man’s possession to identify him and at the time of the incident he was wearing black takkies, camouflage trousers, a blue overall jacket and a yellow hat,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.
“The victim is estimated to be 35 years old.
“Police are also trying to identify him through his fingerprints in an effort to prevent him being given a pauper’s burial.”
Anyone who can help police identify the body, which is at the state mortuary in Germiston, or have details of any next-of-kin, is urged to contact Detective WO Joel Makhura on 011 393 8750 or 086 001 0111.
