UPDATE: Mayor no longer coming to Tembisa

During Siyaqhuba visits, Masina, together with the City's senior officials, ensures that service delivery issues identified or raised by the community are attended to

The City of Ekurhuleni announced on Thursday afternoon that the executive mayor will no longer visit Tembisa on Friday.

Instead, he will be in Thokoza. No reason for the change of venue was given.

The City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) is taking the Siyaqhuba Service Delivery Programme to Tembisa on Friday.

The rapid response service delivery programme was introduced by executive mayor Mzwandile Masina to deal with day to day service delivery issues in and around the City.

During Siyaqhuba visits, Masina, together with the City’s senior officials, ensures that service delivery issues identified or raised by the community are attended to on the spot or within a reasonable amount of time.

On Friday the team will visit Mqantsa, Matikweni, Madelakufa, Emfihlweni, Sofiatown and Motsu among other areas.

The service delivery issues that will be addressed include the state of the LED Industrial Hive , the state of the computer centre, rejuvenation of the local park, blocked sewer systems and illegal dumping of rubble among other things.
