New development launched at Serengeti
Serengeti Estates launches new apartment development
The launch of a new apartment development, The Whistling Thorns, saw many gather at Serengeti Estate Golf and Wildlife Estate last week Wednesday.
The new development comes a month after the estate’s new development team, headed by David Nagle, took the helm.
Located on the second fairway of The Whistling Thorn, Serengeti’s nine-hole golf course, The Whistling Thorns apartments comprise 188 apartments.
Nagle, who has enjoyed success implementing turnaround strategies at estates such as Eye of Africa Golf & Residential Estate and The Houghton said: “One of the first promises we made to residents when we came on board was that we would be introducing new products which would help to improve the estate’s offering and therefore bring about a higher return on their investment. With the launch of The Whistling Thorns apartments, we are fulfilling this promise.

“It took me six to seven months designing the units in plan and I just wanted something that would look very nice and very comfortable inside, and it works.
“The problem is that we have an issue with land. Not that many people can afford to just buy land and build; you have to continuously give high-quality products at more affordable prices, something people can aspire to.
“What I love about an estate like this is that you can live the life that is in front of you, so South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world.”
Nagle told EXPRESS there were great plans in place for the estate.

“Serengeti has a beautiful infrastructure, nicely done, but we still have to do a whole lot to revitalise this place and let the rest speak for itself,” said Nagle.
“This is a beautiful piece of land and there is no better golf course estate located right next to OR Tambo International Airport. The plan and philosophy is to try and put all the amenities inside so you can work, rest and play all in one area.”
Among those excited with the estate’s new developments were Annie and Pieter Bruner, residents at the estate.
“We have been living here for four years and are very excited and happy about the launch of these apartments,” said Annie.
“These are great investments and they will add more to this already amazing place.”
Of the 188 two-storey apartments, 151 were sold at the launch.
