Gibela distances itself from news about recruitment

GIBELA Rail Transport Consortium has slammed news about recruiting people for several technical positions.
On November 10, Gibela issued a media statement distancing itself from Facebook posts and flyers doing rounds claiming the company is recruiting people for significant vacancies.
The company said members of the public should note that when it advertises posts, there are designated media channels that will be used.
These include newspaper advertising, posters at community care centres, the company’s website and stakeholder forums.
“Further, Gibela does not use social media channels for any of its communication with the local community,” read the media statement.
Gibela also said the next recruitment drive for artisans and operators would be communicated early next year.
Gibela is headquartered in Johannesburg, while its manufacturing and training facility is located in Dunnottar.
