FOUR suspects driving a BMW hijacked in Kempton Park were cornered and arrested on the N12 on Monday.
According to the police’s Facebook page, police from Gauteng Provincial Trio Task Team received information about a group of suspects driving in a vehicle that was allegedly involved in armed robberies in and around Gauteng.

The team immediately acted on the information and identified the BMW with four occupants on the N12 travelling towards Mpumalanga. Upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, police found two AK47 rifles and ammunition in their possession.
Preliminary investigations revealed the BMW was hijacked in Kempton Park recently. It is suspected the men were on their way to commit an armed robbery.
Investigations will be conducted to establish whether the suspects can be linked to other crimes.
