Police search for Ivory Park rape suspect

Anyone who can help trace the suspect as on the identity kit is asked to contact the investigating officer from the Tembisa SAPS Det Sgt Makhubela on 082 083 7384.

The Tembisa SAPS is appealing to the community to assist them in tracing a suspect who allegedly robbed and raped a woman in Ivory Park.

The incident happened during the month of June 2017 at about 10 pm when the complainant was walking on the street of Riverside in Ivory Park.

According to the Tembisa SAPS communication officer Capt Manyadza Ralidzivha the victim was approached by the male suspect and walked along with her.

“When they approached the main road the suspect pulled out a firearm and pointed it at her. He robbed her of her belongings and forced her to walk to the back of a house where he overpowered her and raped her,” said Ralidzivha.

Anyone who can help trace the suspect as on the identity kit is asked to contact the investigating officer from the Tembisa SAPS Det Sgt Makhubela on 082 083 7384 or 011 926 2970 or the nearest police station.
