WATCH: #BlackFriday takes over at Festival Mall
It was all things #BlackFriday at Festival Mall, Kempton Park
CUSTOMERS at Festival Mall were seen caught in exceptionally long queues, running down the aisles at various stores to get as much as they can from the #BlackFriday sale on Friday morning.
The sale, that took South African consumers by storm, saw people queuing at the mall from the early hours of the morning waiting for the shops to open.
Within minutes of shops opening, stores were filled with shoppers from all angles.
Game Festival Mall was immediatey flooded.
“We opened around 6.30am and it has been hectic ever since and there was a massive acceptance of #BlackFriday compared to the previous year,” said Israel Raholane, manager at Game Festival Mall.
“We prepared for this day and made sure we had sufficient stock.
“We thank the mall’s management because they were able to arrange enough security personnel who ensured that the queues were properly controlled and as a result there was no chaos and no injuries reported.”
Patience was the order of the day as queues increased as the day progressed.
