Motorists stopped to give short lifts to pedestrians
Swartspruit on Vlei Street was flooded on Monday morning following Sunday night’s heavy rainfall.
The spruit poured over Vlei Street which left pedestrians on their way to work stranded and having to hitch lifts on bakkies passing through the water.
While some motorists braved the floods, others made U-turns to find alternative routes.
Some of the pedestrians who couldn’t get lifts were left to wait and observe.
