SAPS and metro police work for a safer community

Festive season operations yield positive results.

KEMPTON Park SAPS and the metro police were kept busy with 28 arrests on Friday and Saturday.

The arrests were made during festive season operations conducted to ensure the community of Kempton Park is free from crime and is able to enjoy safe shopping.

“The operations yielded positive results as the 28 suspects were arrested for various crimes,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS.

• Driving under the influence of alcohol 16

• Dealing in drugs 1

• Possession of drugs 2

• Shoplifting 5

•Assault 2

• Theft and robbery 1

• Malicious damage to property 1
