Major refurbishments at Aston Manor Primary School next year

A meeting to inform residents will be held on Thursday evening

Aston Manor Primary School will undergo extensive refurbishments next year which will last for 32 weeks.

To inform the community about the project, ward councillor Jaco Terblanche has arranged a meeting for Thursday, December 14 at 7pm.

It will take place in the Girls Scout Hall on Aberfeldy Street in Aston Manor.

The project is driven by the Gauteng Department of Infrastructure Development and the site will be handed over to the contractor in January.

The scope of work covers the following:

Refurbishment of all existing brick and mortar structures that comprises the administration block, hall, junior classroom block, senior classroom block, pre-school block, tuckshop and workshop.

The work includes replacing of roofs, ceilings, floors, plaster, paint and plumbing. The grand stand will also be demolished and rebuilt.
