MANY people across the world will be enjoying Christmas in just two weeks.
There are those like Iris de Vries of Van Riebeeck Park who always ensures that the spirit of Christmas stays alive.
It has taken De Vries five years to finally light up her home with the decorations which inspired her during her trip to Germany.
Residents of her neighbourhood will be flocking to her home to admire the beauty displayed.

“After I visited Germany five years ago, I was truly inspired by the decorations I saw in some stores. They were so beautiful.
“It was a winter wonderland trip and I decided immediately to collect all the items. I decided I will decorate my home,” she said.
“Some of the figurines I have used have cost me between R700 and R800. The amount I have spent to have these decorations exceeds R12 000. I have been collecting these items for years, and each and every year, I add new ones,” De Vries said.
She said she loves Christmas and having people at her house helps to kindle the spirit.
“We have a lot people who are always asking to come over, some people walk in the street and see the decorations on the walls and ask to come and have a look.
You have to see it, so that you can love it,” De Vries said.
