IN the spirit of Christmas, Kempton Park MES took time out on the evening of December 8 to spread love in the inner city.

Volunteers of MES and staff members walked the streets of the inner city singing hymns and Christmas songs and dished out sweets to the homeless.

Manager of Kempton Park MES Dwayne Edwards said this was done to bring joy to the people as they start Christmas time.

“We are also bringing the love of Christ and the birth of Christ into the inner city in a practical way,” Edwards said.

He said the message that was sent out to the community by MES was gratitude.

“We just wanted to give back to the community a little bit. It might be a small job but every job counts. We are hoping that we will be more blessed for the year that lies ahead,” Edwards said.
