Talented folk entertain shoppers

Coca Cola Beverages expose talent in the township.

Coca Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) organised the Kumandi Ekaslam campaign to provide a platform so people can exposure their talent to Tembisan shoppers.

On December 16 Tembisa residents got to take pictures with their favorite celebrities and also shared their talents in public.

The campaign organiser, Nkuli Nzimande, said shoppers received giveaways after taking part in competitions and the talent showcase.

“Kumnandi Ekaslami (It’s nice in my township) is a campaign that emphasises the fact that every location has its own talent and has its own way of having fun – hence the hashtag #KumnandiEkaslami.

“TV personalities such as Thato Molamu, Motlatsi Mafatse, Kagiso Modupe – just to name a few – were hands-on in engaging with the consumers and assisted with the uncovering of their talent.

“Talented individuals from around Tembisa made their way to the CCBSA stalls outside Pick n Pay to showcase their abilities. Many came to rap, some to dance and sing, while others came to preach and beat box. This was an amazing way to unite the community and build relationships,” said Nkuli.

She said the Tembisa community members were happy to meet their favourite stars and through purchasing the CCBSA promotion combo, they were given an opportunity to take some pictures with the stars, which they could take home.

This campaign was first activated in Alex, then in Midrand and it is now in Tembisa as it received a great response.

It is no secret that CCBSA is a popular brand. The aim of this campaign was to enhance brand equity, attract new consumers, reinforce consumer loyalty and create awareness around all CCBSA products.

Robin Scherpenhuyzen, channel distribution specialist (energy) at CCBSA says: “As a business, CCBSA is very proud to be part of such a prestigous event which has truly displayed our values.

“We live and work in the communities we serve.

“Kumandi Ekasilam is here to bring love and excitement to the township where CCBSA operates,” said Scherpenhuyzen.
