Biker dies after rear-ending truck on N12

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was killed early on Thursday morning when his motorbike rear-ended a truck on the N12 east-bound in Gillooly’s.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene in the early hours of the morning to find the body of a man lying in the middle of the road. The man’s motorbike was found about 400m away Russel Meiring of ER24 said.

Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. He was declared dead on the scene.
