Tembisa welcomes Christmas babies
Thirty-five babies were born in Tembisa on Christmas Day.
Thirty-five newborn babies were welcomed on Christmas Day at the Tembisa Provincial Tertiary Hospital. The newborns comprised 19 males and 16 females.
“We were delighted to welcome the newborn babies,” said Shirley Matjila, communications officer for the hospital.
The first baby girl was given a gift by nursing manager Wilfred Mothwane of Tembisa Hospital.
She weighed 3.5kg and arrived at midnight. Her mother is Ellen Ndlovu.
The second baby born was a boy weighing 3.2kg. He arrived at 1.30am. His mother is Rosemary Moremi.
The third baby was a boy weighing 4.9kg. He arrived at 2.28am. His mother is Barbra Ncube.
The fourth baby was a boy weighing 3.3kg. He arrived at 1.40am. His mother is Lerato Mpebe.
The fifth delivery was twins, a baby boy weighing 2.4kg, who arrived at 8.35am, and a baby girl weighing 2.8kg, who arrived at 8.40am. Their mother is Maria Moyama.
