Artists invited to display their talents at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre
Artists are urged to submit their artwork on January 15 until 19, submissions to open at 8.30am to 4.30pm.

The City of Ekurhuleni’s Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture is calling on all local artists who live in the Northern Region to participate in the art exhibition titled Ekurhuleni North Artists.
The City is hosting the exhibition at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre on February 3, and interested artists are invited to participate.
Artists are urged to submit their artwork at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre in Tembisa from January 15 until 19, submissions will be open from 8.30am until 4.30pm. Their curatorial team will be making the selection for the final exhibition.
It is a group art exhibition of paintings, mixed media, collages and sculptures by artists from the North.
This is a rare opportunity for art teachers, aspiring artists and seasoned artists from Kempton Park, Tembisa, Edenvale and Bedfordview to showcase their artworks.
The exhibition sprouted from the request and demand from the local artist to be given more opportunities to display their artworks.
Ekurhuleni does not have a major gallery in the likes of the Johannesburg Art Gallery.
The artists hope and believe that through such initiatives, they stand an opportunity of being recognised by art lovers and collectors alike.
This will, in turn, open up opportunities to have their work sold and displayed in local and national galleries.
This is a rare opportunity for artists to showcase their talent since the exhibition will be open for the entire February 2018.
The exhibition opens on February 3 to 28, at the Moses Molelekwa Art Centre at 2 pm.
