Children urged to join acting classes
Khula Performing Arts programme is calling on children from seven to 13 years old
It’s a new year again and time to make a fresh start.
Khula Performing Arts programme, under the Tswelopele Performing Artists (TSWEPA), is calling on children from seven to 13 years to register for acting, dancing and singing classes.
Adults are also welcomed to register for theatre and television classes.
Oupa Malatji, who is the man behind the programme, is the Tembisa based theatre, film and television star.
He played for Thola, an SABC2 drama as Lt Jimu, Samuel, the councillor on e.tv’s Broken Vows, Obed on One More Time and Malume on Unkel & Stiks to name a few.
Malatjie says most parents do not know where their children can go to prove their talents at an early age.
“Bring your child to me before you spend a lot of bucks to take your child to rehabilitation centres. Registration forms are available upon request,” adds Malatjie. Classes will be held at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre, and to start on February 3 from 8.30am to 11pm.
Only first 30 children will be accepted.
People can WhatsApp 083 486 6790 or email tswepa@yahoo.com and ask for registration forms.
