Tembisa Hospital is appealing to members of the community to assist the hospital with information that could lead to finding the relatives of several patients.

According to the Tembisa Hospital’s public relations officer, Shirley Matjila, the patients have been admitted to the hospital and they need the public’s assistance in locating their family members.

“We urge people to contact the hospital if they recognise any of the names, or if they know any relatives or family members of the patients. Your assistance in this matter will be highly appreciated,” she said.

“Isaac Kula (40) was brought in by paramedics on January 10, 2018. It is believed he was burned by an open fire at Kempton Park. Edith Steerman was brought in by the police from Rabasotho SAPS, with a history of assaulting people at the police station. The patient is originally from Stellenbosch and she was admitted on January 11, 2018. Meanwhile, Michael Mchunu was brought in by paramedics on January 9, 2018. It is claimed the patient was roaming the streets of Benoni,” added Matjila.
