Watch out for these flooding hot spots, Gauteng Weather warns
The rainfall is due to a surface high pressure system which is transporting large amounts of moisture

Motorists heading home this afternoon should try and avoid Vlei Street as it is heavily flooded.
Driving this afternoon will be treacherous on many local roads with the rain continuing and motorists are advised to be careful.
The SA Weather Service has warned against localised flooding on March 22 and 23, as rainfall continues in Gauteng.
The service has predicted that the wet weather will last the rest of the week and into the weekend, with temperatures staying in the low 20s.
The rainfall is due to a surface high pressure system which is transporting large amounts of moisture to the eastern parts of South Africa. At the same time a sharp upper air trough is moving across the central parts of the country, resulting in very unstable conditions.
