Norkem Park Primary School collects nearly 16 000 Easter eggs

The Easter egg packages were distributed to various children’s and old age homes in the area

Norkem Park Primary School pupils again embarked on their annual Easter Egg Drive this year.

A total of 15 960 eggs were collected.

Each year the pupils collect marshmallow Easter eggs, which are packaged with a card and distributed to the elderly and underprivileged children.

Gift Mojola collected the most eggs for the school, bringing in 1 740 eggs, while Luyanda Ndlovu came in second place with 326 eggs.

The Easter egg packages were distributed to John Wesley Child Care Centre, Tembisa Child and Family Welfare, Casa Caritas, Kids Haven, Little Eden, Marmanet Retirement Village, Stepping Stones Nursery School, Meals on Wheels Benoni, Meals on Wheels Pretoria, Avril Elizabeth Home, Herfsland, Pinocchio (Edenvale Child Welfare), Oliver’s Village, Ryan Park 1, Allen Park, Epworth Children’s Village, John Mashala (Ikhaya Lothando) and Child Welfare Kempton Park.
