Muvhango actors inspire youth at Praise and Miracle Centre Church
Gabriel Temudzani, known by his stage name Chief Azwindini (on the TV programme Muvhango on SABC 2), in the company of his wife and colleague Sydney Ramakuela, AKA Mulalo, paid a special visit to Praise and Miracle Centre Church based in Difateng Section on April 8 during the Phila Life Hope initiative programme.
The Praise and Miracle Centre Church under the leadership of Apostle Tshimangadzo Mulea hosted two Muvhango soapie actors who inspired and motivated the youth and congregation to stay true to themselves.
Gabriel Temudzani, who is popularly known by his stage name Chief Azwindini on the TV soap Muvhango on SABC 2, in the company of his wife and soapie colleague Sydney Ramakuela aka Mulalo, paid a special visit to the Praise and Miracle Centre Church based in Difateng Section. They came on April 8 during the Phila Life Hope initiative program.
At the event, guest gospel artist Moses Muthundinne entertained the crowd.

According to the church’s senior pastor, Tshimangadzo Mulea, the initiative was seeking to address young people and youth who are trapped in substance abuse, alcohol and other related social ills.
“We are aiming to work hand in glove with community members to be able to fight the scourge of drugs and substance abuse. By bringing these public figures to our community, we wanted to inspire young people to avoid engaging in dangerous substances that will tarnish their future and want to encourage them to keep living a positive lifestyle,” said Apostole Mulea.
He added it is estimated that in Tembisa alone, there are more than 360 000 young people who are all over taxi ranks, sleeping under the bridges and in municipal public parks smoking their future away with this dangerous drug called Nyaope.

“The question is what do we do as a community? Let us together revive our young people to see the need to stand and lead this country. You might not see this as a problem till it comes in the doorstep of the house. The country is gearing up to distribute land without compensation. The question is: To which youth are we going to give the land because young people are not correctly positioned,” added Apostole Mulea.

The program which the Phila Life Hope initiative is promoting goes beyond the limitation of church walls. It requires different stakeholders to join hands.
“We hosted International guests throughout the month of April to make the community aware of the hazardous substances that are tormenting our people,” said Apostole Mulea.
Motivational guest speaker Temudzani encouraged young people to live a drug-free life and to seek mentors and role models in order to shape their future endeavours.
“Our communities should provide sufficient support to our youngsters and sometimes offer them a listening ear for their challenges,” added Temudzani.
