Blind singer hosts concert for Amy

This, in an effort to raise the R250 000 she needs for an operation that will hopefully keep her from losing her sight.

Blind singer Vernon Barnard (24), who rose to fame after reaching the Top 8 of The Voice, will host a concert for Amy Botha (19), who faces permanently losing her eyesight due to a rare brain disease.

Barnard, who was born with glaucoma, which left him blind at the age of six, will donate all ticket sales to Amy’s cause. Hopefully, this will enable her to receive the shunt operation she desperately needs to keep her from losing her sight permanently.

Tickets can be bought from Natasjha on 084 310 3402, or Suzette on 082 265 1959.
