Taxi kills man (42) on Pomona Road

A 42-year-old man was killed on Monday morning when he was knocked over by a taxi on Pomona Road.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the body of a man lying against the centre median pavement. A taxi had come to a stop on the side of the road a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Unfortunately, nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.

Fortunately, neither the driver or the passengers from the taxi sustained any injuries.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
