Teens invited to showcase their talents at the civic centre on Saturday

Young people are invited to express themselves through their various talents at the Kempton Park Civic Centre.

Are you young, vibrant and bursting with ideas and want to move the world?

Then head down to the Youth Can Move The World event to be held at the Kempton Park Civic Centre on Saturday.

“As a youth ward councillor, I feel like it is my responsibility as well as the community’s to come up with and initiate programmes in our communities that empower and uplift our young people,” said the youth councillor of Ward 16, Lindiwe Nqini.

“If you are 16 and older, come and be part of this amazing journey where you will be allowed to express yourself and your talents. Young people, you are invited to come and express yourselves through public speaking, dance, poetry, drama, music and other talents.”

Nqini added that South Africa should consider promoting youth services as a strategy to involve young people and creatively find solutions to the country’s development challenges.

Motivational speaker Pandora Mabai will be opening the event which will run from 11am to 3pm. Entrance is free and all are welcome.
