Church partners with MSC Business College to issue study bursaries to youth

As the youth month drew to the end, Pastor Thami Dlalisa put together the Youth Expo and Community Open day on June 30.

As Youth Month drew to an end, Pastor Thami Dlalisa put together the Youth Expo and Community Open Day on June 30.

The event was aimed at encouraging young people to further their studies by registering for college studies.

John Gwangwa of MSC Business College offered bursaries for those deserving young people to study Computer Science at his college for free.

Guest speakers of the day Bongani Sibisi, Sabelo Mzizi, Thami Dlalisa and Fred Mamabolo.

Some will study at the MSC college campus in Kempton Park and other at Midrand Campus.

Dlalisa, who is the lead Pastor of RoyalHouse International Church in Entshonalanga Section in Tembisa, issued the bursaries on behalf of Gwangwa (MSC managing director) to the deserving students.

On the same day, Dlalisa had seasoned entrepreneurs encourage the young people to open their businesses.

These entrepreneurs are also from Tembisa and they spoke on various topics including access to funding, how to handle peer pressure and avoid substance abuse, pressures of starting your own business and how to grow your business as a young township entrepreneur.

Amongst the speakers were Dlalisa, Fred Mamabolo, the chief executive of Inpower, Omen of SABC1 (Big Up Program), Bongani Sibisi, managing director of Digs Group, Sammy Makgotsoane, the chief executive of Guta Lenna Fund, Ayanda Tshangana, the master trainer, just to name a few. They shared various views and perspectives on how to run a business successfully.

On the day there were also various exhibitors.

This day was an opportunity to showcase their work and expose their businesses.

According to Dlalisa, this day was held not only for businesses but also a fun day for the community as the children were also involved with their and playing on jumping castles that were available on the day.
