Emperors Palace celebrates birthday with cupcakes for charity
5 000 cupcakes were baked and people came out in numbers to decorate them as part of Emperors Palace 20th birthday celebration for charity.
Emperors Palace celebrated its 20th birthday on August 16 by baking 5 000 cupcakes to give to charity.
It opened in 1998 with hotels, entertainment and restaurants, and Gauteng’s entertainment and leisure capital is still going strong.
The event took place at the Statue of David where the cupcakes were put around the statue to be decorated by people who were invited to the event. Parents came out with their children for a fun day of decorating the cupcakes. Media personalities also attended.
Zac Zikalala was the host of the day and kept everyone entertained while they decorated the cupcakes with icing and some interesting, exciting and colourful toppings.
Children were excited to have a taste of the cupcakes after decorating them. Snacks were provided for all guests to enjoy.
The beneficiaries of the cupcakes event were Ubuhle Bezwe, Bula Mahlo Home, Luthukukhanya Care Centre, John Wesley Children’s Home, Matthew Ukhozi Foundation Pre-school and Allen Park Council for the Aged.
All beneficiaries were present to join in on the fun.
